Speech Disorders

We evaluate and treat disorders of articulation and phonological development in children of all ages. We can help guide families through determination of age-appropriate intervention.

Language Disorders

We evaluate and treat disorders in receptive and expressive language, as well as pragmatic communication. We are highly experienced in early intervention for young toddlers and treating language disorders in pre-school and school-aged children.

We evaluate and treat stuttering in all ages. We offer experience in distinguishing developmentally typical dysfluency from atypical patterns of dysfluency.

Who we are:

The mission of ABC Speech Therapy is to provide the Knoxville, Tennessee, community with high-quality speech and language evaluation and treatment services in order to support improved communication skills for children of all ages. We utilize research-based, specialized techniques and strategies catered to each individual in order to maximize therapeutic effectiveness.

Our clinic model offers concierge evaluation and treatment services conveniently within our clients’ homes. We know that families are busier than ever and strive to make the speech therapy process easy by traveling to you, equipped with engaging materials and tools to meet our clients’ needs.

ABC Speech Therapy is happy to partner with daycare, preschool, or private school institutions to offer on-site evaluation and therapy services during school hours as a convenience to assist parents in managing the load of after-school activities.

In order to provide a high standard of care, maintain transparency in pricing, avoid constraints on visit allotments, and offer flexibility in travel and scheduling, we do not currently accept insurance. However, we are able to process payment through HSA and FSA debit cards. We also provide superbills for clients to submit to their own insurance for reimbursement.

About the Owner

ABC Speech Therapy, LLC is owned and operated by Anna Beth Cunningham, M.S. CCC-SLP. Anna Beth attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate degree, where she received a B.A. in Communication Studies with a concentration in Speech and Hearing Sciences in 2012. Anna Beth graduated with a M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2014.

She has 10 years of experience working with the pediatric population in the public and private school, early intervention, private practice, and outpatient rehabilitation settings in the metro Atlanta area before relocating back home to Knoxville in 2022. She is ASHA certified, licensed in Tennessee and Georgia, and trained in Hanen programs as well as SCERTS techniques.

When not working, Anna Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters, doing Pilates, and cheering on the Vols (and Tar Heels, of course)!
